Ingredients
4 Nashi, halved
1 tsp melted butter
1 tbsp maple syrup
1/4 cup wate
8 chocolate buttons or squares
Method
Preheat oven to 170oC & line a baking tray with bake paper. Using a teaspoon, scoop the core neatly from each Nashi half, and place these cut side up on the baking tray. Brush the cut edges with melted butter and drizzle the Nashi centres with maple syrup.
Add a small amount of water to fill the base of the baking tray to
provide a bit of steam.
Bake for 60 - 70 minutes until Nashi are tender then add a chocolate button to the centre of each Nashi. (The chocolate button will melt quickly).
Serve warm with ice cream or crunchy wafers to dip in the chocolate.
Tip: As a fun serving idea, pipe each child’s name onto a serving plate in advance with some extra melted chocolate.
